Urban skylines are particularly spectacular when the sun rises or descends behind it. Toronto is no exception. Often, when sunlight diffracts through the narrow gap between two buildings, the diffraction results in colourful flare. Here, a custom filter was added in front of the lens to create a special starburst with four beams. Under the right conditions, such a filter is not necessary as the aperture blades of the lens can also produce a sunstar (see RS1A9) without an accessory.
